When Darkness Falls

I know I said that all my poetry would be put on my new blog so I wouldn't have to post it here but i'm proud of this one. SO READ IT!! LOL. Besides it's a song :P

when darkness falls
it's hard to breathe
sometimes it's hard
to even see
but there's a light
inside us all
to lead us through
when darkness falls.

so when it falls
and you feel you don't belong
you can't go on
i'll be here for you
the help you find the light.
the darkness fell
and i went through hell
i found the light through it all
so i'm here to help you when you fall.
we cut ourselves
to know that we still feel
to know that we're alive
we hurt ourselves
with all this pain
so that we can feel something different
than the pain we feel inside.

but there's a light
inside us all
to lead us through
when darkness falls.

so reach for the light inside
and see what you will find
happiness inside us all
to avoid the knife's beckoning call
and if darkness falls
you can count on me
i'll be your guide
to help you through the night
to help you find your light
